The most select olive oil, obtained from the best olives in the region of Villa del Río and Montoro, comes in 90% from picual variety with a small percentage of hojiblanca. Picual is the most cultivated throughout Spain, its fruit is black in the maturation phase, medium in size and with a characteristic elliptical shape and pointed at the lower end.
Picual olive gives our oils a high content of oleic acid, but with a balance between spicy and bitter, its high content of polyphenols provides an aroma and a fruity flavor to the oil. It is an ideal oil to consume raw for its tremendous flavor and its heart-healthy properties, in salads, sweet desserts, sauces, etc.
